this all sounds very fancy, like..propane grill and what not.

i've gone on 15 day camping trips and i usually just take instant oatmeal, beef jerkey, raisins, mixed nuts, apples and turkey dogs. Then we just fish for our supper.

I could do without a lot of things, but some of the people I'm going with are slightly less than the outdoorsy type.

when i went backpacking all we ate were fancy MREs. they're freeze-dried meals, and all you do is put them in boiling water or add boiling water and you can throw away all the packaging afterwards. and they're fun and weird, and lightweight.

they come like this:

and you can make them as you wish.
the best brand, in my opinion is Mountain House and you can get them at REI.

this one is especially good:

there's a ton of them on the REI website. or you can get them at any local camping/outdoor store.

Great idea!

Something for heat stroke would be good to bring, because three of the girls I'm going with are chronic sunbathers

they have powdered gatorade or other brands (capri-sun) of sport drink packets , probably better than crystal light

that mre of broc & potatoes looks so good
i bet those are pricey though?
i've never made mac-n-cheese while camping, never had the stove either though but 10 days is a while
i'm all about the baby wipes
and if you/no one else mentioned maybe bring some pencil and paper/a book to read in case of you being the only one awake and bored
and of course you will bring a camera!?
when are you going emmah?

Powered Gatorade would be a lot lighter to carry around too.

Baby wipes are also a really good idea. I think trying to keep a tad fresh while we're out there might be nice haha.

Pens and paper, and cameras are also on the list. I don't know which camera to bring though, but I have a bit of time to think about it because we're not leaving until mid July (I'm not sure of the exact date). I don't think we're going for ten days anymore though, because people have to book time off work and what not. We'll probably just go for a week.
