Nahhhh, not at all It's going to be awesome to get away from the everyday life.
The only thing I'm really concerned about, is how two of my friends will handle ten days in the woods. The other two friend's shouldn't be a problem at all.

Everything in ziploc bags (You will be canoeing)
It may be best to assign backpacks to people. Meaning one carry the bulk of first aid supplies, another with lights, batteries, portable radio. You'll have to divide up the food between packs most likely.
On flashlights, get a good LED type. Don't mess with an incandescent. On an incan light, the bulb may blow and it most certainly will use batteries much faster than an LED light would.
You'll want a few sources to start fire. Flint and Steel and a few bic lighters should suffice. Probably won't need matches. You guys DO know how to start one in the outdoors, correct?
There's many instructional vids on youtube.
Cellphone and a GPS tracker would be real novel to have incase your asses get lost. (Provided the cell can get a signal)
I dunno, 10 days amongst 4-5 people, you're going to be hauling in a lot of ****, so plan well.
Once you get out there, if you feel you'll run out of supplies, turn back. And tell the adventurous one in the crowd to shove it if they insist you'll be ok and to push on.
Adventure is what got those three guys stuck on Mt. Hood a couple years back who are now very much dead.
Have fun, but don't be an idiot about it.
Also, let people know where you'll be departing from and when you'll return.
->DO NOT<- deviate from this plan and/or go off into another area that wasn't predesignated.
This might seem like a dumb bit of advice but don't let your flashlights touch ground. If they ground the batteries will go dead in a hurry. So if you have your sweaty hand wrapped around your aluminum flashlight and your wet foot in a mud puddle you are going to be in the dark very soon. Just a thought.
when we had to do a month long camp for school broken up into like a 3 day hike, and a four day 'basics' camp etc. for food they gave us little sandwich bags full of rolled oats and milk powder. we added some sultanas as well.
you just add water and maybe honey and it's actually pretty nice? fills you up well.
maple syrup even.
