Cross-trainers/exercise bikes

What's a sensible amount of money to be spending on these things? I'm considering getting one because I'm a fat cunt.

EDIT: Also, which is better?

I am, as well, still a fat cunt. I'm curious about that too. I've seen some for about 100 bucks, and that isn't too bad, but is that TOO cheap or what? I want something that's going to work.

Depends on what you want really.

York and Pro Form ones are pretty decent.

The difference between cheap to mid range and hig end ones is the cheaper ones are designed to be used by only one person.

The cheaper ones use a belt, the more expensive ones use magnets.
The cheapest of the cheap ones are not built to last.

The more you pay, the more options and programs they have, to vary the speed etc. Some also have video games built in.

Look to pay about £200-300 for a reasonable single person one.
(sorry, I've no idea about american ones)
About £900 for a totr one.
About £1600 or so for Gym level stuff.
(approx)

Pfft. I'm fatter than the two of you put together

£200 is way more than I had any intention of paying! What I want is something that's like running but which lets me watch TV. I refuse to believe that would cost that much.

Buy a second hand 25 quid one from ebay. You won't actually use it anyway.
