vitamin C mega dose therapy

i hate the word mega

anyway it hardly costs anything as the powdered stuff is £3 for 60 grams. but is there any point to it beside passing it off as speed to teeny punks

will it cure my prostatitis/senility/cataracts/impotence

i mean big doses. several grams a day

experiences, thoughts and opinions. actually no, i'd prefer double blind studies

10^6 man. it's just a number. don't hate on it.

I have never done this exact thing and it's not really fair for me to compare myself to you because I never get sick. but. I will say that for a period of about 2 months, there was some nasty cold being passed around from person to person and back again at work and I took extra vitamin c during that time (just to make sure) and was about the only one who didn't get sick. so I say it can't hurt.
I don't know of any double blind studies but google probably does.

when i had measles my friends stepdad (who writes books about nutrition and stuff) recommended going crazy with the vitamin c. I think he said 1000mg a day but I have a bad memory.

while vitamin c is your immune system's best friend, it can be sorta dangerous in excessive amounts.

are you talking about those little packets that proclaim to get rid of ailments speedily? those are pretty effective, in my experience. so long as your cold/sinus infection/cough is still in the beginning stages.

pretty sure the only danger from megadosing is diarrhea due to it's mild acidity. some speculation about kidney stones without any evidence.

i'm talking about pure vitamin c powder in doses of about 5 grams (5000mg) a day, divided throughout the day (apparently this is comparable to what almost every other mammal manufactures in its body for its own use),
