Stomach problems

I've been vegetarian for a few years and a little more than a week and a half ago I stopped eating dairy and eggs (which I never really ate anyway. However since then I've been getting these massive cramps. At first it ws just a sharp pain in my ovaries and I only really noticed it when I first woke up in the morning. I started to feel sluggish and tired and lose color after like 5 days but I figured it was just my body adjusting.
Then about 3 days ago I got massively bloated which worries me the worst. I couldn't fit into any of my pants at all so I had to borrow some from my mother and the stomach cramps started getting worse.
My period started yesterday and is about a week early and really heavy. I finally had some dairy today because I'd had enough of the stomach cramps.
The stomach cramping went away a bit after I had the cheese... but now it's worse. I have that feeling you get in your stomach when you've got food poisoning and all the vomiting and diarrhea is about to start and I've started burping A LOT which is making the stomach pain and the bloating go away but I have a feeling I'm going to be in for a rough night. I don't have a scale but I'd guess I gained 10 pounds or at least I feel like I did and my stomach looks awful like I'm pregnant or I'm one of those starving children with the swollen bellies.

What I've been eating is:
Raisin bran
Veggie burger patties
Whole Wheat bread
Tomatoes
Oranges
Cherries
Rice with brocoli and peas.
Kudos bars.

Is this period related or is it because of the lack of dairy? A few months ago I had a really awful period but that was because I was on antibiotics and I've been alright since then.

I was a vego for years - what you a describing sounds period related - I get those exact symptoms sometimes just before and during my special lady time.

I don't think it's the lack of dairy.

Hope you feel better!!!
