| | | Losing belly. I gained a little bit of weight over the past month. I really want to lose it, and I used to have a perfectly flat and toned tummy, but then I was on the road for a while, and lost that. So, I'm wondering, being a relatively piggish lazy person, what does everyone recommend that I do to loose this tummy? |

| | | don't eat anything fattening (EG.mcdonalds, pizza) and lots and lots of abdominal exercises. Tony Little makes good work out videos and Claudia Schiffer has a very good abdominal video i used to use constantly after giving birth a few years ago.....worked really good....the library is a good place to borrow exercise videos/dvd's from, i used to go there quite often...... |

| | | dont drink beer, dont eat bread. low carb diets make your gut small fairly fast. eat lots of protein. exercise, you need to get rid of the layer of fat over your ab muscles. you wont see results from crunches unless you get rid of the 'spare tire' first! |

| | | Yeah basically diet like fuck. Avoiding wheat is a very good tip and try taking acidophilus (good bacteria) capsules which you can buy from a health food shop. They aid digestion and keep your tummy feeling flat. Maybe eat live yoghurt and fruit and drink plenty of water for lunch. A liquid diet might help kickstart things, like juices, smoothies and fruits. You'll feel less bloated asap this way. Combine this with exercise for a few weeks and boom..no belly! |

| | | Oh and it might suck but try avoiding alcohol, it contains a shocking amount of hidden calories and inflames the gut.
Once your'e on a roll you'll feel great and it won't seems like a chore, just a lifestyle choice. |

my advice : don't diet. just eat the way you did before you went on the road - same portion sizes and same foods. just exercise more. besides, if your tummy was already flat and toned (for which you will have my undying jealousy) you were obviously doing something right. |

Things that take work suck. Lol. I'm the laziest fuck in the world. Plus I'm about to start waitressing. I toned by butt quickly over the past month. |

I adore carbs, they give energy (protein plus work outs? No way), and they keep me from blacking out. I just try to eat good carbs. *shrugs* |

We're not all obsessive Atkins and South Beach diet followers. |

| | One thing that Ive FINALLY found out that really works for my tummy, is this:
Lay down on a flat surface, back to the floor. Put your hands on your hips, and lift your legs straight into the air and keep going up and down.
Its actually working for me. |

Its actually working for me. | Those are great but they work even better if you have a trainer, boyfriend, whomever standing behind you. You grab their ankles and raise your legs until they're as far as they can go, then your partner throws them back down, but you cant let them touch the floor. Repeat. Do 200 of these a day (split them up if you need) and you'll get ripped fairly quickly. This is pretty much the same as leg raises;you're working your lower core.
To lose belly fat though you need to also incorporate cardio into your routine.
And no whites before bed. Stop eating all bread, rice, carbs before 6 PM. |

I could probably eat them up to 11 PM, right before bed, because I'm such a fitness freak (I'm going to burn them off anyway) but I like going to bed with a calm and empty stomach not full of starch. |

I need to go running more, went once but never after that one time. I need more exercise. Im near vegan, but eat load of shit and drink too much coke.
Im going to take some advice from what people gave you. I couldnt take out my carbs because I wouldnt be eating much else.
I think its drinking more water, eating more veg and fruit and doing some crunches before bed and getting up would help a bit. good luck |

My mom got hurt on the job and lots of other things, but she should be starting work again this Monday and we'll have money again. At that point my main thing will be fruit and vegetables, and I'll get a bike, etc.
I will take this advice too, it sounds good. |

I know what you mean about having lack of access to good food. I work at a hospital and they lack so much in healthy eating etc! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
