| | | Mousakka I think this is a Greek dish, at least the Greek restaurants in my area seem to sell a lot of it. I used to buy a lot of it from the Supermarket but it never tasted as tasty as the home made Greek stuff.
Its kinda a lamb dish and recipes are on google.com.
Ever tried it?

| | as i don't care for most meats, i have made vegetarian moussaka several times. i use lentils in place of the lamb, or sometimes i don't substitute anything. the result is lovely, tomato-y, and healthy. |

| | | I've had vegetarian mousaka before, I liked it. I've never tried it with meat, being a vegetarian, but I'm sure it's probably superior.

| | | i like it, but it ended up being wayyyyyy too much pine nuts (less than the recipe dictated) and it tasted all woody and digusting. now i dont' like pinenuts anymore (unless crushed in a pesto or something). Next time I wont' be putting it in there. It was an eggplant one (vegetarian) and apart from the pine nuts it was very good. |
