Detox

What would anyone suggest as the best way to begin a detox. I am surrounded by a bunch of guys that eat constantly and I want to start a fast detox, my stomach is constantly bloated due to smoking weed and getting major munchies. I just want like a week break but I'm not sure how to begin any suggestions like food i should cut out first. I mean we eat about 7 pizzas a day when we get munchies my belly is seriously starting to hurt

Well you could do a fast, erm drink water -2 litres a day, eat fruit, make fruit smoothies etc..

My problem isnt actually doing the fast like i know what i should do fruit and water etc, my problem is getting myself to a place where i can do that cause i cant go from eating 7 pizza a day plus loads of other shit (you want to have seen the cheese toasty i ate while i was fucked last month ) to eating practically nothing...my insidse dont feel healthy

cut what your eating now in 1/2. as your body adjusts to the lesser junk type foods, you add in the other stuff.

start exercising, going for walks, you will find your body and mind will force you to eat fruit and veggies and nothing processed.

you also can seriously just stop. its not hard. whats hard is keeping it up.

i suggest not a drastic detox but perhaps just vegetables and fruits, nothing processed, no bread, cheese, milk, chocolate, alcohol, sugar (perhaps maple syrup or honey but organic health food stuff don't get commercial stuff), no meat or fish etc.

just start waking up, down 3 glasses of water, get ready for work/school and then have breakfast with fruit - say a banana and an orange or kiwi fruit or berries and a good yoghuyrt - not those horrible danone types something ilke this brand i have here in australia www.jalna.com.au - one with the ABC bacteria cultures and doesnt' have sugar or procssed fruit juice in it.

another alternative is freshly made smoothies

for a mid morning snack have some almonds and cashews and peanuts - RAW/natural ones, no salt or raosted (they use oil when they roast them) if you must have them roasted then toast it in the oven with no oil or salt and some carrots.

for lunch have some salads like three bean salad etc etc. but also have with it some nuts and hommus and fresh carrots or something for having the hommus with. it will fill you up.

the go for a walk somewhere, even if its 30mins,. make it a nice brisk walk

afternoon snack - more fruit

for dinner make yourself soem vegetable soup. fresh vegetables.

another alternative dinner is boiled egg and steamed veggies.

after dinner go for a walk again to help digest your food
or join a gym and do a workout with weights

meanwhile have a big water bottle and make sure you're drinking at least 2 of them

exercise is the key your body craves decent fuel such as the one mentioned above.

just refuse the pizza and lay off the weed

the first three days are usually the hardest to ween off weed and processed food so you may feel like shit, headacjy etc. just keep going and keep drinking water constnalty to flush it out of the system/.

you won't be sorry. your body is alreayd crying out for you to stop it.

i'm starting this one today:

start out with drinking prune juice

every 10 minutes for the first 30 minutes drink one cup of organic prune juice

for the next 30 minutes drink one cup of organic apple juice every ten minutes

and try to drink a cup of organic apple juice an hour for the first 4 hours after that -- but you can drink as much you want -- and eat up to six apples a day but only apples.

apparently my friend does this for up to 3 days at a time. i don't know if i can handle that long though...

it flushes your system.

try it. you get results almost immediately.

prunes obviously make things come out of you. i don't know why the apples but a friend of mine who is a health fanatic does this a few times a week. works for her, so i'm trying it too.

i can't tell you how many times i've eaten breakfast and it didn't do dick for me. i certainly didn't feel "good" for the rest of the day.

eat only chicken and fish
cut out alcohol, caffeine and refined carbs/processed foods
