wow thats alot. im not sure i need it to be THAT quick.

you know, i dont get on anybody for sometiems doing things that aren;t ideally 'healthy'. i think if your mind stays in the right place, your body can take it for a little while. it is incredibly resilient, and a little bit of giving it less than it wants once in a while can have a cleansing effect.

its all about mentality and understanding why you're doing it, and the boundaries and limitations of your behaviors. i can totally understand the general discouragment that goes with extreme behaviors : on a mass level its t he only responsible thing to do. however, i'm convinced their are plenty of people who DONT veer into eating disorders, or can avoid using food or lack of to deal with their emotions.

i appluad her success!

Im trying to loose 20lbs. I've set myself a longer target though - 6 months. Just because i know how crap i am at getting motivated sometimes.

But i've found a really helpful site Calorie Counter - Free Online Diet Journal It works out how many cals you should be eating per day to loose weight. And has a food journal where you can look up food and see how many cals are in it. I find it helpful writing things down..even though im only a week into it and have cheated with crisps already!

yeah, thats a really good resource!

i've def. lost the weight i wanted to lose since i started this thread, although im not sure it took 12 weeks, it took a bit more. im glad i didnt weigh myself. i still have some fitness goasl for the summer and i think getting them on track and staying there will be just as hard as simply losing thweight if not harder.

one thing i know for sure though: routine is your friend. it really really helps to get stuck in a rut, if its the right kind. im the kind of person who can eat the same thing everyday and workout the same way every day for long periods of time. my only problem was some weeks not getting to the gym.

good luck with your goal! keep your eyes on the prize and you''ll get there!
