Why is vodka a cool drink and sherry an uncool drink?

why is vodka so cool. it tastes like shite and makes me want to throw up when i drink it.

i like sherry filled confectionary chocolate. Straight......its kind of an old fellas drink and of course there's the red nose rumour about when you drink too much of it for years.

i like the smell of it but i've never tasted it, expect for trifle i suppose
it strikes me as an old lady drink, perhaps ill shall try it at christmas
