| | | i went to the supermarket the other day and got the same old unhealthy things mixed with healthy things since i'm so bad at eating right.
wheat bread
sugary cereal
skim milk
turkey sausage
low fat hot dogs
saltine crackers
2 cans soup
1 can chili
2 frozen lean cuisines
1 box dehydrated stuffing mix which i can guarantee you will sit in my pantry for a year til it gets thrown out. sometimes i don't know what i'm thinking when i throw things in the basket.
i have promised myself that starting 2.5 weeks from today, i'm going to start eating fruits and maybe veg.
and now that i look at it, the only healthy things i bought were the bread and milk. and not even really that. i need to stop. |

| | | I tend to get:
Numerous cartons of OJ
Numerous cartons of UHT skimmed milk
Bag of muesli
A big-ass bag of pasta
Bread
Eggs
Cheese
Brocolli
Tinned chopped tomatoes (for pasta sauce)
Onions
Peppers
Jars of pasta sauce (for the lazy moments, which are often)
Lettuce
Cucumber
Occasionally I'll break out and buy a couple of bags of bagels and some cream cheese.
As you can tell, my diet isn't at all varied or exciting. I rarely buy snack foods because I know that, as good as my intentions are, I cannot just have one small bowl of ice cream or one bag of crisps without taking it to the extreme and eating it all in one sitting. Sucks to be a fat person just waiting to bust out.
Edit: and my less frequent purchases, only less frequent because they actually last a while so don't have to buy 'em often:
Margarine (usually the "omg can you actually beleive this shit is not butter? taste it, man, just taste it" variety)
Loose tea (always earl grey)
Granulated sweetener
Extra light mayonnaise

| | | I spend about £40 per month on my main monthly grocery shopping trip, and probably about £10 throughout the rest of the month topping up on stuff that I've run out of too quickly. I live alone.
