| | | I Miss American Meat I swear I have tried several different kinds of red meat in this country. Several different cuts. Several different ways of preparing it. But every time I get my hopes up and no, it STILL tastes funny.
What I wouldn't give for some good ol' American red meat. |

| | | Not for over a year.
I was taking really bad care of myself towards the end of sophomore year. Always always tired, feeling faint all the time...once I started eating meat again in small quantities I started feeling better. It was definitely the easy way out. |

| | | I didn't like British meat much while I was in the UK. I had a couple of good steaks, but overall Australian meat kicks butt over the Brits too.

| | | scottish beef is the best in the world, but for some reason british restaurants would rather sell argentinian rubbish while we're exporting scottish stuff. and supermarkets don't hang it for long enough in the uk.

There are local butcher shops around uni, so maybe I'll try there next time. |

A farmer's market is generally a pretty good place, as you can get well-hung organic and free-range meat there, but they're pretty pricey for students. The Jamie Oliver special meat in Sainsbury's tends to be hung for longer than the usual stuff. |

I don't eat meat all the time so I don't think spending a few more pounds on it will be that significant budget wise. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
