| | | need to really get my ass in shape hey i need to really get my ass in shape. want to join the army but i want to get fit first, so i be joining min to end of next year now. how can i get really fit without a gym? i been doing 100 things (cant remember the word lol. helps u get a 6pack), pushups & going up & down on a bench with my hands. starting kickboxing on monday, starting running with my sis next week & i need to get my bike mixed. well i can do the bike myself, i'm going to mix it today.
what to eat? i do eat shit coming from the uk & all, but i find it hard to put on pounds like

Yes to the biking. Bike a lot. And walk up hills, and lots of them. Get buns of steel.
When you say you need to get your "ass" in shape, are you meaning just your "ass", or your whole body but said in a sort of down-home way? |

They stuff you to death in basic training. Besides that, you should see how out of shape most of the people there are. The whole point of it is to get even those that are in the worst possible shape, up to par by the end of training, and if they don't then they stay there until they can do it.
They recommend "preparing" for it beforehand so that a) it won't be as difficult for you, and b) you can improve while you're there.
If you have that much time before you do join, I'd try to be able to do 50 push-ups, 80 crunches [both within 2 minutes], and run 1.5 miles in twelve minutes and thirty seconds. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
