I'm turning 16 in April.. I'm STILL 5'6! It feels like I've been the same height for so long.. I wait months and then go check again, hoping to be suprised but no.. still 5'6. When do guys usually stop growing? Is there anything I can take to help it? Anything I might be taking that's NOT helping it?
Please fill me in! I feel so uncomfortable at this height. |

| | | get an xray of your knees. years ago my doctor took an xray of my knees and there was a line going across them on the xray. He said that the line isn't there at birth and that it slowly extends across the knee and when it reaches the other side it means that you are done growing for the most part. |

| | there is still time to grow if you're 16, so it's all good  if you have big hands and feet (like, out of proportion to the rest of you) then you'll probably grow more becuase your hands and feet grow first and finish growing first so they sort of show how big the rest of you will get. i wish i was 5ft6, i don't like being 5ft8 and a bit. |

| | haha oh god. i have the complete opposite problem. i'm a girl and 6'2"! basically, your height is a reflection of your parents'. you could definitely still grow an inch or two, but like i said, if your parents are about the same height as you are now, it's more likely you'll be stuck at about the height you are now. most guys do have growth spurts later than girls though, so i'm guessing you will grow at least another inch.  |

my mom, my friend's mom,a couple of friends, and i were at the mall and my friend's mom was so amazed how everyone shot up past me. i used to be considered tall for my age. then my mom practically shouted in the foodcourt of the mall, "well thats because she got her period so soon!!"
ahhhh haha it was embarassing, but funny. |
