| | | How many calories should one eat In a day?
Reading the backs of packets they say 3000 or something but that seems a little extreme if you ask me.
If any of you limit yr cal intake what is it limited to? |

| | | for people with average activity levels, calories should be between 1800-2200 a day. lower end for shorter and smaller folks, higher end for the opposite. |

| | | Nutrition info is based on a 2000 calorie diet (at least here in the U.S.).
So, I tend to eat less than 2000 cals a day. To maintain my weight, cause I hate the gym. Of course, there's those days where we all go insane and eat everything in sight.
My best friend used to be a nutritionist & she once wrote up a diet for me that was around 1700-1800 cals a day.
So, I stick with the 2000 cals or less a day idea. |

| | | Good thread! Just have to ask though how do you find out how many calories are in fresh food that doesn't come in packaging like brocoli or mushrooms? Are there any websites or something? I eat mostly fresh produce but I'd still like to watch my calorie intake. |

| | | I don't think i ever eat as much as 2000 in a day. Apparently for my height and weight i need 1500 to maintain, but it seems i eat about 1000-1200 per day, after inputting a few days food on fitday. I feel like i eat enough though and it's not a concious decision, i don't count calories. I'm never usually hungry between meals and am fairly active. |

| | | i was actually wondering about this when i was at lunch today.
i have not been able to get solid foods down in a few days, so i'm curious if my yogurt/soda/milkshake/soup diet is going to hack it for me or if i'm going to be dangerously malnourished. |

| | | Maybe drink thing's like milk instead of fizzy juice? Bread with yr soup, that sorta thing.
I've been doing the sums with what I eat the past few day's & the numbers have been from 600 - 1000 :\
It's making me paranoid. |

| | | Is no-fat milk with 20mls of vanilla topping which is 40 calories a healthy drink to have? The milk is 111 calories. So 150cal all up. |
