| | | Sushi - How bad is it for you? I only ever eat Cucumber rolls, as I'm a vegetarian....but I've always been curious if sushi is bad for you?
I've heard conflicting stories from people....some say it's very low in calories so it's good for you, and others say it's high in bad carbs, so it isn't good to eat.
Which is it? Any response would be appreciated. |

| | | only bad things ive heard is sometimes you can get sick from it.you have to eat it kinda fast and make sure it doesnt sit out long.it can have high bacteria counts.its not recommended for pregnant people and other high risk people cos of the chance of getting sick from bacteria. |

| | | My friend told me about this the other day! I was devastated because sushi is pretty much my favourite takeaway food, apart from vegetable curry. I hope it's not true. But meh. It probably wouldn't stop me. I sometimes have sushi three or four times a week and it's never made me sick. |

| | | honestly i wouldnt worry about calories in sushi. what i would worry about is bacteria and sometimes there can be gastrointestinal parasites (worms) in the fish if it isnt fresh (disgusting i know). just make sure its fresh and have been kept at a proper temperature. |

| | | i don't understand why people talk about this type of food being bad when everyone i know eats canned chili and nasty greatValue potato chips and say that "we eat a lot, were healthy unlike you"
sushi cant be THAT bad compared to half that nasty shit can it!? |

| | | i make my own veggie sushi, and it's AWESOME.
it's rice, vegetables and those nori leaves.
...though, i know what you mean, i'd never eat RAW fish ones in a restaurant. |

| | | Well, sushi has a lot of white rice in it, which is not that great. Other than that it pretty good for you. |

| | | i love sushi. salmon, tuna, yellow tail, shrimp, eel... i'll eat anything!!! me and my BF go to this GREAT sushi place right down the street from us. we've eaten almost every fish there. sooo damn good.
and i love rolls. especially the fried ones. give me anything with eel, salmon, and avocado. and bamboo roll b/c the outside of it has these huge chunks of avocado, and they're cut/shaped like bamboo. |

the only unhealthy aspect is if you put a lot of soy sauce on it, as thatis high in salt | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
