Large glasses of water. A nice salad before a meal. Eat in small slow bites , there signs tyour full and you'll trick your brain. An when your hungry , its really just your stomach shrinking back to normal size.

Sodium is salt salt retains water in the muscles. Your suspossed to drink about a liter and a half of water anyway. Heres a good check maker if your getting enough water, if you pee yellow your dehidrayted. When you pee clear your body has enough water.

oh, and ya. fibre does fill you up. i find high fiber cereals are great fillers and they are low fat and good for your intestines and stuff.
warm liquids also make you feel full. so try green tea, it has loads of anti-oxidents and is known to help with weight loss.

i've just started out on a low calorie (under 1000 a day), low G.I, low carb diet which consists of 2 meal-replacement shakes, salads, small serve of protein with LOTS of veges and 2 fruit serves per day. you can eat as much diet jellies as you wish to satisfy your sugar cravings and you're allowed to include a small 'snack' every now and then so long as it's low carb/sugar/fat.

i can 'feel' my stomach now, i don't mean hunger pains. it is like an empty feeling but with no hunger associated with it. it just feels weird to have a totally empty stomach, i think when you eat a lot of junk foods the body takes a hell of a lot longer to digest it and your stomach never really gets a chance to empty out...yuk...it makes a huge difference when you eat only good foods which are easy to digest and give slow-release energy.

my waist measurement has dropped by almost 2 inches in one week...yay!
can't wait to weigh myself.

i agree...you have to drink at least 1.5 litres of water each day. you feel so much better and you'll have lovely glowing skin and less headaches which are caused mainly by dehydration.

Ive started Weight Watchers today.
My mom does it too, and in her first week she lost 6 lbs!
And its great, because you get to eat anything you want..just in smaller portions.
You get points, and because I am 115 lbs (:|), I get 20 a day.
Im at 16 right now and Ive just finished dinner.
I hope this works out!

Pint of water with a lemon squeezed in it will suppress appetite.

I hang around people, generally I'm too self-conscious to eat in front of them.

Fiber and protein, they take longer to digest so food moves through your system slower. Also, stay properly hydrated and get some fat at every meal. And for some reason, I find warm foods are more filling than cold ones, even if the calories are the same.

There's always the classic coffee and cigarettes.
But. Healthy alternatives.
Water. Tea.
And of course proteins, because they take longer to digest, making you feel full longer without having to eat a lot.
Avoid carbs, but don't get rid of them altogether, a la Adkins. They're necessary in your diet, but if it's all you eat, you're more likely to eat more of them, making you gain wait.

Yeah coffee kills my appetite. Especially if i have a cup with a couple of sweet biscuits, i don't want to eat for hours after that.

Yeah, if I drink a pot of coffee for breakfast, I feel too sick to eat the rest of the day. There's also vivarin, which is more efficient but less effective, even at high doses.

a ton of caffiene on an empty stomach will do that to ya

drink lots of liquids, something carbonated without caffiene or calories is the sugar free tonic water, its good. also, eat small meals often (that'll help mentally with hunger too), lots of fiber, and protein at every meal. pretty simple.

BUT, youve got to keep in mind, if you're eating a drastically low number of calories, even if you do all those things, you'll feel hunger. eating calorie amounts in the 3-digit range is really no good for anyone, no exceptions. you should be eating 1200 at the least. that'll help too, to up it to that if you're below.
