Day 4:
Breakfast: Sultana Bran
Morning: carrot sticks
Lunch: chicken salad
Dinner: small piece lamb, corn cob, pumkin, sweet potato

Day 5:
Breakfast: Sultana Bran
Morning: manderine
Lunch: tin of pea's, sweet potato, 4 dried dates, 4 dpieces dried pineapple
Dinner: small piece of chicken, pumpkin, carrot, frozen corn/pea's

Day 6:
Breakfast: Sultana Bran
Lunch: tin of pea's, 5 dried dates, 5 pieces dried pineapple
Dinner: 2 slices ham, half tomato, 1 boiled egg, 1 corn cob

Day 7:

If I keep going like this, do you think I will lose weight in the long run? Am I eating too much? I don't know what I am doing wrong

It can be made less boring by turning the carrot sticks into carrot stick men, and carving wacky faces into the potatoes

No.

I just ate nearly a third of a rhubarb pie. Fuck it was good. I wish I had Burger Rings.

LOL

i'd be changing the brekfast to include at least one hot brekky on the weekend - some poached egg, spinach, baked beans and wholegrain toast.

have some museli instead of sultana bran or have fruit with sultana bran and a good plain natural yoghurt with acidpohilos, casei and bifidi bacteria in it.

have some nuts as snacks - RAW/NATURAl almonds, cashews, peanuts as well as some fruit

Quote:
Lunch: tin of pea's, 5 dried dates, 5 pieces dried pineapple
thats not a fucking lunch. thats a snack and a disgusting one at that.

have curry and rice, have lasagne or spaghetti
have casserole, have a good vegetable soup.

Quote:
Dinner: small piece lamb, corn cob, pumkin, sweet potato
where are you green vegetables? you need at least three servces a day. steam them, stir fry them, in fact make a stir fry with tofu and cut the meat out completely, or hell make a stir fry with thin slices of lamb, have some garlic and ginger and a bit of light soy sauce or something.

in what way do those ingredients go together? YUCK BORING. BLAND. i bet you dont know how to cook properly either do you??? start learning because you're going to rebel as to how routin and boring that all is. its just restrictive and repetitive and none of it goes together nicely.

my god will you just eat something decent. oneway is so right, no wonder you'll go off and on diets, its so boring, its so restrictive and its so portioned off./ eat as much as you need to eat, drink tonnes of water throughout the day and exercise and watch, in three months time a difference will be noted.

this is what i do.. i don't use fat to cook, no margarine or butter but i do use little bits of olive oil. don't eat on large plates, and for eg for my breakfast if i'm having muesli i measure it 1/4 C with some yoghurt & mixed berries. i think it's all portion control and not scoffing down your meals.

if what you're eating is making you gain weight then maybe yr not getting enough exercise. do you go for walks? what kind of exercise do you get honestly?

How to lose weight:

The amount of calories you burn must be greater than the amount of calories in your diet. No fad diets, no Atkins, no magic pills - just that one equation.

So if you actually get up and exercise, you won't need to starve yourself or eat that godawful food.

you have a point about portions but omg measuring muesli with a cup and being strict on it? thats anothe way of becoming obsessed and having a strange eating disorder. i agree about portion control and grazing and having small meals but really just start to see it by experimenting with how much you need in the mroning, if you start measuring then you'll be so exact every time and thats wrong. some mornings you're hungrier than others. sometimes you need a bigger portion than others depending on whats contained in the meal.

why are you eating dried things and tinned things? they're boring and bland and full of additives anyway. eat fresh food for god's sake. i have no idea what a 'cruskit' is and i don't think i want to know. have a good wholegrain sandwich. and get rid of your ham and your lamb, fat and salt. if you must eat meat have lean stuff like turkey and stuff like that. and make friends with the bean and the legume. good for you and tasty to boot.

Your diet has an awful lot of meat. That's not good if you are trying to get healthy and lose weight.

I have always been a plain eater, I HATE flavour. I have been like that for 25 years and haven't got sick of it yet. I look forward to what I eat, it satisfies me, this diet that I am on has been the best I have ever ate, you should have seen what I used to eat! So whatever, if you want to eat curries etc, go for it, i find them gross. And I don't like vegetables, the vegetables I listed there is being GOOD, compared to eating NO vegetables that I usually ate.

And fyi I CAN COOK, my man always laughs at me (he is the king of packet mixes), because I always make things from scratch WITH flavour. I love cooking for other people at dinner parties etc.. just because I don’t eat flavour doesn’t mean I can’t cook.

How is one small piece of meat a day "an awful lot??"

well to each her own i suppose. corn doesn't really count as a veg though.. the only reason to eat it is for the taste, it does nothing for you really, although i suppose the fibre is good. could you eat fresh or frozen peas though? something that still has nutrients in it? and how about fruit? do you like fruit? and brown rice, that's nice and bland.. as are my mentioned legumes, you don't have to spice them up.

anyway, don't eat less. you're not eating much as is you may even want to eat more, cutting more will just put your body into starvation mode, and it'll fight to keep everything you put into it. get some good exercise going if you can, swimming or walking or weights, and i think you'll see some progress.

Because you're eating it every fucking day, that's how. It's common knowledge that meat is high in fat and toxins. If you really want to get healthy and lose weight you should cut down on the meat, (I'm not necessarily saying cut it out completely) and just eat a healthy, well balanced diet.

yeah well aren't we supposed to get at least one serving of meat a day?

protein intake is something you've gotta be really careful with, if you don't get enough you can really see some pretty horrific results (hair loss being one of them... and when i lost a bunch of weight i actually started to lose some of my hair - thankfully i had lots, but my hair did go from super thick to the thin side of "normal")

if you're not getting protein from meat you've gotta get it from other sources (like eggs or nuts for example)

i don't eat any meat aside from chicken and fish, because you're right, most other meats are super-high in fat

tomato_girl, you're eating fatty meats six of the eight days and i agree, i think that's too much

for example

Dinner: 2 slices ham, half tomato, 1 boiled egg, 1 corn cob

if i were you i'd omit the ham from this meal and replace is with a slice of multigrain bread and a glass of skim milk

speaking of which there is a noticable lack of "milk products" on your plan

maybe you could replace that daily manderine with a small portion of non-fat/sugar free yogurt?

i think it's important to try to eat as balanced as possible, and you can certainly do that while still losing weight
