Laptop Screen

My laptop screen is doing something funny where you see lines going across, usually green, blue or red. It doesn't really do it when I do stuff around the computer, like use a web browser or word processing, but it does when I play DVDs. Sometimes worse than other times.

I hope it isn't anything serious. My warranty is only good till the end of September.

Has anyone had this happen?

It's not a dell is it? I just bought a Dell laptop and the screen goes completely blank every so often for no reason.

It is. The screen has never given me any problems before and this is my 3rd year with this computer. I don't know why it does it. Video playback from the internet is no problem...it's only when it's from my hard drive or dvd drive.

I would contact the manufacturer to see what they think. They you can make sure it get it fixed before the warranty is up if something needs to be fixed.

Blah, how annoying. I'm traveling and all this down time is DVD time. At least Dell always sends a technician along to check everything.
