now there's this really special new law or procedure, that They are going to start watching what we (employees of public schools/teachers) are looking at on the internet, when at work?

now there's a filter on the staff only wireless.
i understand the public access one, having a filter. yes, of course.
but the staff network, really?

when i try to go to KR it tells me the content is blocked because of sexual content. it also won't let me into watching megavideo links. and a bunch of other ****.

i'm kindof enraged about this.
i feel like i'm too high ranking to be patrolled, by whoever or whatever bull**** program some tardbaby put through the board of education.

how can i make it not track what i do?
or atleast hide who i am?
or at best, get it to not block/filter my internetting?

note that i'm using my personal computer (macbook) at work.
not a work computer.
but this is a work wireless network.

but i also work 12 hour overnight shifts. and i'm really only busy with actual students for the first 3 hours and last 2 hours. there's NOT ALOT ELSE TO DO except watch **** online, for ALL the hours inbetween.
i mean, i could be doing more work things and all, but really, how can i even go back to that after years of doing not work, on working hours?

they blocked kr at my highschool. because out of the like 800 students there only two went on it.

use a proxy if yer desperate.
lemme see if any of the ones i used to use are still good.

okay they don't. but it was also three years ago so it's understandable.
just google search proxy servers and see which ones work best/fastest. it's kind of a shot in the dark but if you're persistant you'll find a decent one. they're always going to be slower though. not much you can do about that.

I feel a bit uncomfortable using certain sites, including KR, on uni computers.
I probably wouldn't ever access it from work - I'd be too paranoid about getting into trouble.
