So I think my laptop has a virus, every time I open Internet Explorer I get a fake Microsoft page telling me to download antivirus software and I can't get on to facebook, youtube or myspace any more. I was going to run the virus scan from Microsoft's site but it was taking forever, I was just wondering if that's the right way to sort this out or if I need to do something else? I'm a bit clueless about things like this.
