Well, actually, I am not as excited as before. Because I just went to the download site (it's a college deal with MSN) and its only a RC (release-candidate) that means its not the finished version sadly.
BUT, it is Windows Seven, and will run perfectly fine on your machine. It'll just need a ****-load of updates when they release them (I hear they already released 8 service pack updates for W7 so far)

To answer your question: The college has a deal with MSN regarding all its software. This is why I have Visual Studio v6, 2005, and 2008 (which would normally cost $1k+) for FREE! I also have a ****load of Vista editions, XP editions, and now W7 editions (both 32-bit and 64-bit) to play with...
Also, MSN Accounting...the list is endless. Too many to download I am afraid, but I'll try my best to get them all!
