I'm so sick of my computer right now. A few weeks back a folder would pop-up during boot-up with the file helper.dll and some other dll file. The folder says common. I was having some trojan issues at the time which my anti-virus deleted. I deleted the folder and I haven't had any problems since. Now the folder came up again. Has anyone had this problem before? I deleted the folder with the stupid file so hopefully it won't come back tomorrow. I just want to kill the "process" that might be making this folder come up but I'm not sure how to find it..Please help and enlighten? Thanks..

I suggest doing a fresh install then taking a snapshot of your system using Audit software. Audit software records every file on your system - then tell you if any new files have popped up since the fresh install (virus, trojans etc) - it will give you the option to delete these new files too.

That said, have you got a O/S CD / DVD?
