so i want to convert some avi files to watch on my ipod, can anyone recommend me a simple and idiot (and free, obv) proof program with which to do this? i googled but i would like user input from trusted kr-ers.

and really, i mean idiot proof. and safe for my compy.

oh yeah i don't have any anti virus stuff either (i don't know why?) so can i make the same request for that?
