| My iPod has been taken over by "other" space How the fuck do I make it go away???? There was a bunch of other space before, but I ignored it because I could still fit a bunch of music on there. Tonight I decided to delete everything off my iPod, and right after I did the whole iPod was filled with this random "other" crap! I can fit one song on the damn thing now!! Help me, I rely on this damn thing

| Hi Emmah, Well, this depends on what kind of virus your IPod has downloaded. But, what I would do first - is plug your IPod in, and navigate to 'My Computer'. You will see a drive in there, prolly E:, which is your IPod. Double click on this drive. You will see the contents of said IPod. Delete everything! Or, if you are really daring, and I do not know if this is a good idea, perhaps some one else can help on this, but; On the drive E: icon in My Computer - (accessed from the Start Menu) - Right click on it and select 'Format'. This will wipe EVERYTHING off your IPod storage device. But, like I said, only do that if you think it will not damage your IPod. I own an IPod shuffle - and I know you can format the shuffle, but I am not sure about other types...perhaps some one else can give their POV? |

| ya, did you try and fill your ipod with stuff from an external hard drive ? cuz if you do than it just appears as "other", and can't be played. i agree with the previous poster who advised to "restore factory settings". alas, this will wipe your ipod clean, but hey, you can only hear on song at the mo anyway, right? |
