If the spyware destructive fails then reinstall the o/s. If you have not already got a disk with the o/s on (Vista or XP) then buy one - they are relatively cheap for a brand new computer install. Fresh install is the way to go.
Personally, I have a illegal copy of XP Pro I install every thirty days on VMWare under Linux. This is so I can chat safely with my Bulgarian gf.
Basically, that XP Pro install gets corrupted within 30 days of use anyways - so I save all the things I need (like SP3, IE8, and Windows Live Messenger) to install to the fresh install on a removable usb dongle.
That way, all it takes is 30-60 minutes of my time every month or so to reinstall to fresh install the system. Anything I download what I want to keep I store on removable usb sticks anyways - so nothing is lost when formatting the drive.
This way gets rid of all virus, spyware, trojans etc that infect windows along the way of Internet surfing and downloading. Gets rid of pop up virus too - the type you are suffering from...
Basically, NOTHING can survive (virus etc) a fresh install. I'd say purchase a o/s disk or at least burn a copy off from bit torrent sites.
