so i turned on my compy hit internet explorer and i dont have a bar at the top of the page where you type in url's etc, unless my mouse goes over it, why is it hiding?

plus the start bar is lost in action, it doesnt appear if i run my mouse over it or anything?!

ohhh! i just started to hit my keyboard and the bottom bar came up but disappeared again ? think i pressed the button that looks like the windows button. urgh.

it needs some discipline. it cant go around changing settings on a whim.

Right click IE at the top and select what bars you want to see.

As for the bottom bar, move your mouse to the very bottom of the screen with no windows open, then right click and unlcick hide task bar.

You prolly have a virus - reinstall the o/s...

ohh it worked! i just doubled clicked the e button at the top and it all came back.

v v v v v v virus? i hope not. but is that the main reason settings change without yr say so?

what are o/s? original settings? how do i reinstall that? im using vista and everything was installed when i got it, dont think i had any discs or anything...i'll have a look. can you explain what i need to do? by reinstalling stuff do i loose other stuff? im a bit computer tarded
