| UK mobile phones: Calling overseas regularly. What network is best? I'm after a new prepay mobile phone and I'm looking at the various networks to figure out which I'm going to get the best deal out of.
Right now I probably top up about £15 quid every couple of months but I foresee this being higher, like £10-15/month, due to my bf moving back to Greece. Experience tells me that contracts are no good for me b/c my call patterns tend to change wildly over the course of the contract period and what I've committed to never fits the whole time. The prepay tariffs are pretty awesome since I can switch it up from month to month if I think my network has a better package for me.
So, if anyone spends a fair amount of time calling overseas (say mostly landlines and some mobile calls) from the UK, what is the best network for this in your experience?
Right now I'm leaning towards O2 as they have this "Your Country" package that looks pretty good, where you get free mins to landlines & mobiles depending on how much you top up every month. Vodafone & T-mobile offer some amazing overseas rates for calls to various places in Europe & Asia but don't seem to extend these to Greece, which is no good to me. Orange missed the memo on the overseas thing altogether, by the look of it, but their website is so awful to navigate that I sort of lost patience.
But maybe I'm missing something, or there are some other providers I haven't considered, so if anyone knows better then hit me up. |
