lately, ive been having this problem with my computer.

i notice that the bottom of laptop will get sort of hot and then the screen goes black and the computer turns off.

when i power on again, the bottom of the laptop is normal heat.

whats happening to my computer, and how can i remedy this?

It's most likely turning off because the computer is getting too hot. If it stayed on it would most likely fry some parts inside, so it is trying to keep itself from frying. If your laptop is under warranty I would get it fixed.

its not under warranty anymore.

do you know whats wrong with it exactly? you wouldnt happen to work on hardware, would you?

Something is getting too hot or not getting cooled off properly. It's most likely the processor. Sorry, I don't repair laptops. If you have a CompUSA near you, they used to do a flat fee repair thing and they might still have that.

you need to let air flow through the bottom of your computer so it doesnt overheat. dont leave it on a bed, couch or soft surface for a long time.
