uhm yes in the summer i have to open the case and put this in front of it
else he gets to hot

perhaps it's your graphics card. consider changing it.

my laptop is about 2 years old and it went through a phase where it did that. which was frustrating. but it eventually grew out of it/stopped doing it.

You need to get the fans and cooling stuff cleaned. They get dusty and stop working. It's not a big deal actually. This happened to my laptop a few months ago.
If you have cheap fans in the computer sometimes the ball bearings melt because they are shite plastic.
You can try and just use a book to lift the back of the computer off of your desk to let it cool a bit better, but I found this only worked for about a week. The problem just got intolerable and so I got it cleaned out.
