I'm obsessed with this thing, probably to an unhealthy degree.
I know a lot of people have whined about the price, but I think for what you get, the price is actually reasonable.

I want the iPhone so badly

but, I'm going to hold off and wait until the 2nd gen iPhone, just in case.

and I already have a phone that's less than a year old, maybe when my contract runs up.

I think it's really cool, I won't be getting one, well, I was going to until I saw that it didn't have a keyboard & that annoys me.

I saw that people in NYC are already lining up in front of (or on top of ) the MAC Store there on 5th Ave.

i don't read anything regularly but ive been reading a lot of sites recently and i have read gizmodo too.

really for the past month, i frequently think, oh wow if i had my iphone i could do x, or whatever... it's totally insane. my brother even printed out a paper life size model for me and i meticulously cut it out and put it together. LOL. i'm sick!

i am creating some iphone applications so i keep telling myself its OK because it's for "work"....

i think you might be surprised by the keyboard. obviously i have never used it, but i have faith that steve jobs (the ultimate perfectionist) would never let a product like this ship unless it worked really, really well and better than anything already existing. early reviews say the keyboard works better than expected. i have also read that it is the best mobile keyboard ever. i was really not into the idea at first either, but really, i trust apple will deliver. plus, what is cool is that they can easily tweak the keyboard via software updates.
