Will iPod software automatically sort my MP3/WMA collection, or will this take time?

I am thinking about getting an IPOD. I have WMA files, and I'm curious as to how much effort it takes to convert them.

Let's assume I have 100 WMA albums. Am I going to have to click on each one and convert it song by song?

Will iTunes sort and label all my MP3s, even when they are labeled wrong?

Thanks!

it sorts them a;phabetically by artist song title etc, and itunes (the program you have to use with your ipod) will convert most wma files foryou in the background; you just have to click yes once when it asks.

so far its been really easy to use for me. very userfriendly.

iTunes will not just magically tag your tracks, although it is good if you are looking for something that is going to be pretty userfriendly as far as conversions go. It's kind of a program for people who would rather just like some software handle it than do it themselves.

If you have tracks that are mislabeled, etc...but you actually know what they are, I'd suggest visiting musicbrainz.org and downloading the tagger. It takes a bit to figure it out, but it's a very nice tagger. It will change the file names for you, so if iTunes gives you hell about certain track orders (which is does on occasion), you can tag the tracks really well.

When you add the new folder to your itunes library itunes will convert the album from wma to whatever extension you specify. If you have 100 wma albums it may take awhile to convert all of them, but it's painless.
