More moral dilemmas

So I got a mail and a couple of phone calls today, and it was for an interview with another company. They were all like, HEY MAN, it's for a company #2 in the world in the FMCG market. I looked it up. Fast moving consumer goods.

So I'm like, wikipedia, number 2 in the world for their market, could be drinks! Could be food. Both I like.

Turns out it's for mother****ing ****sucking tobacco

Could you work for such a massive, massive ****ing evil company, who's product is essentially the devil, kills millions, and is addictive?

I have an interview next week.

i don't think i could.

i work for a massive, multi-national, soul-destroying software company. but i don't think i could work for a tobacco company, or an animal testing company, or, i don't know, a company that manufactured weapons. those are my lines that i will not cross.

although. i say that now, at my relatively young age with few responsibilities. but if i had kids and it was a choice between them starving/being out on the streets, and taking a job with one of the aforementioned companies, then i'd probably have to take the job. but other than that, no.

Actually I think it's kind of attractive, in a way.

Like, in the sense that I am on a downward spiral (see my alcohol addiction, the way I treat women, spend more than I earn) and this could be another way in which to feel bad about myself.

I think it's slightly less money. However, I think that promotion might be better in this industry. It's all about the numbers, of which I am good at.

I could be Don Draper!

I could work for a tobacco company. I could not work for animal testing or anything related to the meat industry.

Just think, spying on the enemy from within. At least you would know that everyone was following proper procedures or if they weren't. You could be the next whistle blower!

The most important thing, how much more money would you be making? Everyone has their price. edit: oh, NVMND. you already answered that.
