How did it go? I take it CPA works the same way as the equivalents over here, where you do an exam in each discipline. How many away are you from being qualified? What ones do you have left?
I admit I'm still a little accountancy nerd at heart, even though I fucked off continuing with exams to go and study linguistics instead. I'd probably be pretty close to being qualified by now if I had stuck around. I might go back to it after I finish my degree, if a career in something linguistics-related isn't capturing my imagination. The thing is, at least over here if you're working in practice (you work in industry/commerce, right? i guess that's pretty different), typically when you qualify your firm promotes you to asst manager level and you get a portfolio of clients (probably all the shittiest, worst fee-earning jobs) chucked at you. And I think I would have been way too immature and way too fond of my free time to go down that road of constant overtime and fee target stress so early in life.

But maybe I'll be a bit more inclined to put in the hard graft when I'm about 30. Maybe.
To answer the thread, despite the fact that it was barely much more than a vehicle for this a-rimbaud moron to gloat about whatever shit he/she was gloating about, I haven't done anything to advance my career today besides doing some more work on a woefully overdue essay, and getting into a unproductive frenzy over my other two far-from-complete assignments that are due imminently. Thankfully I got my deadlines extended so praise the lawd, one good thing has come out of this pishy break up of mine (although that WAS the main reason for all this mess... but I'm generally disorganised at the best of times).
