| School "A" vs. School "B" Hey all—here’s another advice thread…School “A” vs. School “B”
Ok- I already hold a BA degree from a 4-year university. I am looking to study marketing. I visited “A” to speak to the head of the Marketing program. I liked the visit, the program, and the courses. However, I have my reservations. I feel the security officers were rude, and nobody seemed to know where anything was. Even admissions gave me a bad vibe and certain student services were not up to par. You may not think this is a big deal but if I plan on spending an enormous amount of money on “A” I will take all of this into consideration. If this is happening while in the application process how is it going to be when I'm actually there..you know what I mean?
I have researched “B”, too, and while I have never been there (I plan on visiting in the next 2 weeks) the program and courses do not seem too impressive. “B” is waaaaay cheaper, but I feel that the Merchandising program at “B” is a watered down version of the Marketing program at “A.” I'm not saying “B” is bad but for the program I want I think “A” might be better.
Because I already have a BA I can complete the program in one year at both “A” and “B.” I am willing to go into more debt at “A” for a better program that will really give me the foundation (and connections) that I need. Debt is never fun, but if I’m going to go to school I want the best program I can get….help? |
