Studying crisis: Politics or History to go with my English Literature?

so im studying English Literature and im going into 2nd Year but im unsure as to whether to drop Politics or History.
I thought i'd stick with the Politics at first - we're doing History of thought - Rousseau, Marx etc and then International Relations.
History is doing 2 of these 4 -
-Society, Culture and Politics in North America, from First Contact to the Present
-Government, Culture and Society in Europe 1550-1715
-England and its Neighbours, c.870-c.1450
-Scotland: The Stateless Nation, 1707-1999
and i was sitting today and i thought - you know History might be actually pretty damn good. and now im stuck. im so **** at making decisions.

I'd keep Politics if I were you.

i'd say go with history, but then i'm a bit of a history geek and those modules sound really interesting.

i did english lit at uni and one of the modules i did in my third year was a politics/philosophy module called "history of critical issues" which sounds quite like your history of thought. i really hated it. but y'know, that's just me...

This.

History rocks. Timelines and things, and figuring out why various countries have the degree of ****up they do.

Except for (temporarily) memorizing dates. That isn't so cool.

Also w/ History you get quite a bit of the politics as well, willy-nilly.

Luck!
