Question Educational Psychology

I know there are a lot of Psychology graduates knocking around this site, so I was just wondering if anyone else knew anything about this.

I'm hoping to eventually get on to an EdPsych course. I've got a 2i degree in Psychology.

I'm going to apply for some teaching assistant positions, but getting a paid decent one is proving a bit of a problem, so I might have to wait more than another year (most courses specify at least 12 months paid work with children and/or young people, previously I've only done voluntary work with kids)...

Does anyone here and Educational Psychologist, or know one? Did you/they do a PGCE? Have you considered doing it?
I'm going to try and get some work experience, but I'm really not sure what I'm doing...
