| | | ^ ummm, no advice as far as bartending goes, but make sure you get paid for your training. lots of places decide not to pay there trainees after days/weeks of slaving. not fairz. |

| | | You will have to bust your ass moer than you would think. Your body will hurt and you will have to be able to multi-task. It's not as glamorous as you think. If thats the reason you are going into this you will be surprised and not in a good way. But good luck some people like the challenge |

| | my bf used to be a cocktail waiter and he really loved it.
it's not easy though. you'll need to learn loads of different cocktails and the ingredients that go into them, you'll need to be able to recommend cocktails for customers, and generally chat to them and develop a rapport with them - though i'm sure you're good at that already cos you work behind a bar it's hard work but it's lots of fun, from what i've been told.
then depending on where you work they might want you to learn to flair as well, which looks awesome once you can do it but takes AGES to learn. one of my friends was learning when we were at school and she was constantly coming in with random injuries, like bruises on the backs of her hands from trying to catch glasses on them! |

| | | I love making cocktails at home... I sometimes wonder if I could get good at it and get a second job, a couple of nights a week making cocktails and shit. I am slowly but surely stocking up my home bar... I've got all the regulars and am starting to get the optional extras like Amaretto and whatnot.

Lexy you should go for it, esp if they offer training.. but yeah make sure they pay you for it.
