last year we moved to a different floor in our building and lost our offices. no big deal, at the time but working in an open newsroom type environment is starting to drive me nuts. people seem to have zero respect for anyone and are loud and i swear, i know so much personal information about my co-workes as they show no discretion. i hear personal phone calls, i know who's fighting with their partners, what they had for dinner and even what their bonuses are! stupid fucks.

i've now taken to listening to my ipod all day to drown out thier crap.

end of rant. i want to go home.

Sounds exactly like my office. But the kicker is we have American Idol hopefuls here. These fools never shut up with their singing! Oh and I am in a gigantic highrise and my little area is surrounded by large windows that overlook the city, monuments and such, so I have idiots who want to come into my personal area just to stare out the window. It's like leave me alone. Go meditate else where.

my co-workers go on about american idol and america's top model...it's fucking horrible to listen to them discuss who was voted off and all that shit. and it's not like a quick conversation, it goes on and on.

i always need a drink on friday night after listening to this lot all week!

Unrelated to having your own office, I now know what it is like for coworkers to microwave fish in the breakroom. I caught some lady nuking sardines in the microwave. Of all disgusting things to microwave. Kitchen stunk and so did that microwave. Now I never bring my lunch.

Is there still a place to hide snacks more importantly? and room for that all importnt bottle of H2O? I would definitely have a "quiet word" if this shit doesn't cease soon.

we have that problem too. one of our producers always brought in fish and nuked it and the whole 2nd floor stunk. she was told not to do it anymore after so many complaints. we often get people nuking curry which makes me want to vomit too.

i don't use the kitchen unless it's to make tea.
