| | | I'm not there, but I think there might be at least one person here at KR who has been at Napier?
I see you're from N. Ireland, I take it you've been to Edinburgh before?

| | | I applied for a job there and they said no, no, no. you should look for some experience work in august at the festival. it's really really easy to get. (i did it, basically you get a pass to all shows connected with who you're working for and usually someone will put you up somewhere. good if you can get the time off)

| | | I went to Napier for four years and got my journalism degree from there... I don't know what to tell you.
People at Edinburgh Uni will totally look down on you for going there, but just tell them to fuck off, because mostly they're ridiculously stupid twats.
My course was good, and they're very strong on events/hospitality stuff as far as I know. Their psychology department is something ridiculous like the best in the UK, or something. I can't remember if that includes Oxford and Cambridge, but either way, it's good.

Reason: So many typos it made the Edinburgh Uni wankers look correct.

For the record, I'm not a twat, I don't think? And theres nowt wrong with Napier.
From what I've gathered the social side at napier seems alot better than ed, and people generally seem nicer.
I have to ask cos this has always had me curious, where abouts in ed are Napier's student accomodation? Is it central or a bit out of the way? |

I'm sorry - I actually like LOTS of Edinburgh Uni people - you know the Ugg-booted twats I mean, though, right? Apologies if you have Uggs. I hope you understand the demographic I refer to, though.
The Napier flats are pretty central: I lived in the Riego Street ones in first year - just off Lothian Road at the Tollcross end. There are some along at Fountainbridge, if you go up to the cnema there you'll pass them. Others are the big semi-circle building at Morrison Circus at Haymarket and next to the Golf Tavern off Bruntsfield Links. I think that's them all...

I don't own uggs, and I know them too well, can't we just exterminate them, they're the one thing making Edinburgh bad.
thanks for the rep, I was only kidding though! |

Those people have just seemed to multiply over the last two years. I hate it so much that I'm trying to orchestrate a Glasgow move. Sadly.
I loved this city, but it's so full of the Ugg/Pashmina/Pyjamas at Margiotta/Constructed messy ponytails...

| | | oh god i wish i still lived near a Margiotta.
I saw a girl this morning at the cashpoints at tescos actually wearing pyjama bottoms, not just look-a-like scruffy bottoms, they had moons and stars on. I wanted to pour the milk I just bought over her head.
We're not selling Edinburgh very well though. |

We're not selling Edinburgh very well though. | This is true... Amy - it's really great, we're just jaded. I've been here five years and have loved it for the most part.

| | Hehe, I used to work at the bike co-op just off Bruntsfield Links, and yeah, I loved Margies!
If it's any consolation there are just the same number of yahs kicking about at Glasgow, just the hordes of murderous smackheads make you appreciate them that wee bit more
(PS. total myth about glasgow by the way! hehe) |
