Scolarships from Uni???

I plan on attending a college with the aid of student loans. I've researched to no avail and found nothing. I was wondering if colleges give scholarships to students to transfer to other colleges?

Sounds like you intend biting the hand that feeds. Shame.

I received a scholarship for transferring to my current college because of my GPA. I would research the college you intend on transferring to.

are you uk? "student loans" gives me that familiar, sick feeling.

if so, you won't get a scholarship to transfer universities. if you want to transfer, you'll have to beg and plead and someone from your current university will have to support your application, etc, etc. basically, you ain't going to get paid for it, quite the reverse - it's a laborious, annoying process and there's no guarantee they'll say yes and there's also no guarantee you'll be any happier once you change! don't rush into it.

the only way of getting scholarships for undergraduate courses, really is either:
1) if your parents' income falls within a certain bracket (it's something like 1p-£30 per anum, as i remember)
2) if you got straight As in your a-levels but are willing to go and do a course which doesn't ask for them. e.g. i remember liverpool and manchester unis both making this offer back in my young day.

anyway, wot you gotta do is contact the admissions tutor of whatever course it is you want to transfer onto and ask them.

Actually, yes, I do plan on biting the hand that feeds. I figure if I work my ass off in school maybe I will get some sort of compensation from them.

That would be very nice.

And clearly not British: ass.
