| | | Fashion design & manufacture course at college
I applyed to this on a whim & I have an interview in a week, it asks you to bring in a folio of work containing things you've "customised or manufactured & a passport size photograph"
A photograph of what? The work?! BUT YOUR BRINGING THE WORK IN?
I did an art course last year but left a month before it finished & left ALL the work I did there so I have NOTHING to take.
Wtf will I do?
Did i meantion the interview is in A WEEK. |

| | | Can you not go back to the place where you left your work and retrieve it? |

| | It was almost a year ago, I really don't think it will still be there. I could try
I'm going to have to start drawing dresses with a pen & take them in
Why would they want a picture of me omg I'm not trendy enough for a fashion course, I'm going to have to cut my hair sideways |

| | Most college courses require a photo of you, go figure. I think it's in case they need to match it up to your passport or ID for whatever reason.
Do some drawings to take in and like disxolexy said just explain your situation. Good luck with your interview!
If you show that you're genuine and hard-working and have a real interest in the course, you shouldn't have any probs |

| | | haha i had to take a passport photo for my course (art foundation) and they stick them all in the office at the start of the year. its so they can "identify students".
and to be honest, i wouldnt worry about not having much work. what level is this course? is it like a national diploma? a pre university course? (if so i doubt they will care that much if you dont have much) or is it a Uni inteview? (in which case they obv will)

If it's the latter, I'd start with a portfolio asap. I can perhaps give you a few tips in pm, if you like. I threw a few portfolios together in a short period, so have a bit of experience... *laughs at the memories.... anyway*

| | | And.... you could phone them without saying who you are, just general enquiries.... Ask what they want in the portfolio, or ask your friend to phone, so they don't recognise your voice. lol |

I have the feeling there is going to be a lot of 16 year olds straight from school there because there was also a form that was sent to me to be filled out by your art/ guidence teacher
(I've just left that form to rot) |

| | | well if thats the case dont worry about it at all. it will be fine youll probably get in if its just a local college? just be enthusiastic or wtevr, youll probably know more about fashion than 16 year olds. just tell them you left ur work at your old course. theyll be fine about it hopefully. maybe make a little sketchbook or something with a few ideas in it? just to show you made an effort despite losing ur work
