Even though i detested the medical field, i guess it's inevitable that I end up in it. Anyone else do anything in the medical field that is pretty cool?

I was thinking abotu ultrasound tech. but their school is fucking expensive.

I went to school to become a commercial diver and now that has gone through because I am 2 days from having a kid. So no construction work for me.

Anyone got any ideas?

you wont dive after you have the bebe?

what about becoming a scuba instructor?

the medical field is not something i recommend unless youre actually wanting to do it. but if you really want to ill list the types of jobs in hospital

echocardiogram tech
ultrasound (thats good money.)
xray tech
MRI tech
CT tech
clinical lab tech
RN
LVN << not really used much except in small cities or crappy hospitals
nurses aid (can make approx 12 - 14 an hour and almost no school. my hospital doesnt even require any certification. they train you)
phlebotomist
respiratory therapist
physical therapy assistant

I'm a physician assistant. I've always worked in the medical field because I absolutely adore it. I don't recommend it though if you don't like medicine. That will just hurt your patients. Unless you do clerical work in a medical setting. That might be better for you. What is it that you dislike about the field?

what about midwifery? if you're having a kid yourself, buckets of understanding etc

Physio therapy for rehab or whatever is good without the needles and other stuff I'm not keen on

Actually I have been reading up on different afflictions i guess you would say, in the gyno field.

I find it interesting just everyone in my family has seemed to be drawn to the medical field. I know tons of RNs and I was wanting to do something different, but thats all a thing of the past now.

I can't go offshore with a newborn, they send you out for an undisclosed amount of time and I would miss so much of him growing up and all. I really enjoyed working out there though, it was soo much fun.

Radiology seems to be a great profession. I was looking up ultrasound tech information and it seems to be a lot harder to get an accredited school and get a job. Although I would love to do that.
