Unhappy college major problem. advice needed please.

Hi, I'm new to posting on this board. I need some advice about college majors. I'm a freshman at a college in chicago and I'm undeclared. I've thought of majoring in English with a concentration on creative writing as well as a communications degree with a focus on journalism (or possibly media studies). However, I'm also interested in enviromental studies (not science). I'm really conflicted and I'm hoping you could help me out.

I've also thought of transferring to another college after my sophomore year where they have an excellent writing program as well as good minors they offer such as environmental policy and culture (minors that aren't offered in my current school).

i would double major in english and journalism, and minor in the enviromental studies if possible. in fact, that's exactly what i did sans the environmental studies.

really? what school do you go to? I'm attending DePaul University but thinking of transferring to Northwestern if possible. DePaul doesn't have an "environmental studies" minor but instead have environmental science or geography.

i went to a state university in michigan that i doubt anyone outside of the state has heard of. i just majored in straight english (no concentration) and journalism with an advertising concentration. my minor was psychology.

one thing i can say is that creative writing and journalism do not go hand-in-hand. i'm a long-winded writer and having to cut to the chase bugged me.
