withdrawing from a class?? i desperately need advice

i am taking calculus II (which is a requirement for my major), but my prof for the class is absolute ****. and i am not doing all that well. we had a midterm recently and i failed it, and it was worth half of our grade. i am working really hard, but i can't seem to do well.

so, i have two options:
1. manage to get a D in the class and retake it with a different prof over the summer.
2. withdraw from the class and retake it over the summer.

which is better? which looks worse on your transcript??

i've never had to deal with this issue before, so i'm completely lost. this is kind of urgent--if i do decide to withdraw, it has to be within a certain deadline. so help me out people! please

good question.

i've withdrawn out of statistics class so many times. 2 or 3 now. i just cant pass it without a tutor and i cant ever find one. i'm taking calculus now too and i really doubt ill pass that either. probably going to drop that one too.

if you take too much and suddenly stop, that can cause withdrawl.

Daaaammmn. Calculus II?

That kind of math was always interesting to me just for its raw complexity and alien-language looking numbers.

The "D" and the withdrawl-fail are probably equally bad. if you can withdrawl-pass...Do that.

I say, whatever you do, report back here after you do it and tell us about Calculus.

I'll be back later.

Most definitely. The damage a D can do is pretty bad. Withdraw!
