i got my ears pierced last week and i am wondering when i can start earring shopping and switching them out?
piercing guy mumbled something about 2 weeks to heal, but dont take the original earrings out for a couple months. ?

i have a magnificent pair of bamboo earrings that i would like to wear, but they are cheap and probably made of recycled tin foil. and dont want to get an infection.

I think they say a month or so but everybody is different.
I remember still having problems with my ears years later when ever I would get sick or leave cheapies in my ears for a few days. Now I just wear the steel stuff and don't have problems.

ETA: Not as fancy as the ones you've posted but I like to wear these sometimes.

it used to be 6 weeks as you want them to heal properly.

but, when i was 12.

back in 1990.

i had just the one ear pierced.

and i only wore the damn thing for a week.

THE HOLE IS STILL THERE.

so i look like some off-beat *** w/ one ear pierced.

god, how i hate when people point it out.

i mean to get it fixed, too! i just don't know when!
