| | | Tragus piercings I got mine done yesterday.
I'm going to go with the LITHA (Leave It The Hell Alone) approach for healing, as it didn't bleed at all and isn't getting crusty. The tragus didn't swell up at all, but my whole earlobe's swollen out of sympathy.
What I want to know is how long until it stops hurting this much? Right now it hurts when I smile broadly or open my mouth wide... maybe this is because she had to pierce it quite far back because my traguses (tragi?) are quite small...

the leave it alone approach I don't reccommend......I cleaned it till it stopped hurting basically and now I have a goddamn keloid |

| | I'm going to salt-soak it once a day but I meant I'm not going to overload it with antibacterial solution etc...

| | | I cleaned mine with saltwater with a drop or 2 of tea tree in and it healed pretty quick. It was swollen for ages though, but not really painful unless I fell asleep on that side. |

| | | Depends where you go. Mine was £20 from a reputable place, but others may be cheaper/pricier and it doesn't always reflect the quality.

| | | i got mine done in december and its only just healed. it really hurt and kept going through cycles of being crusty and red and then fine and dandy. i started off with a good routine of cleaning and then left it well alone, i dont think my skin likes being clean.
that was my last ever piercing. i swear. |

| | Yay, my keloid is completely gone
It's only been a little over three months but I have the urge to take it out and change it. |

| | | I had mine done on Wednesday this week, I slept on it that night with no problems and have had no problems with swelling, bleeding or puss. I clean it twice a day with salt water and put abit of TCP on it.
I'm goning to get an anti-tragus in a few week times on the other ear.
Mine cost £20 and she's a really good piercer. (Squidink - Folkestone) |

| | | Mine's still going gunky every couple of days, but apparently it takes its time healing. I'm doing the salt soaks daily still.

| | | No, probably not. I use big fat headphones, not in-ear ones, because of it.

| | | the tragus is the only ear piercing i've never had a problem with. i had my inner conch pierced a few months ago, and it still swells up & gets gunky, but i think that's because i changed from a barbell to a bcr too soon.
tea tree oil is really really good |

| | | a wonderful little thing that worked for me is Bactine. it's a little spray and doesn't sting and it relatively cheap.
i had my tragus pierced twice. and the first time everything was fine. but the second time i had it re-pierced it didn't heal at all, and was still tender about a month later. i think it was due to the scar tissue though and the fact that it had not gone through the previous piercing. | |
