| | | itch!help! ive got 7 tattoos and ive never had problems with any of them until now..i have a plain black one on my left inner forearm (just below my elbow) and ive had it since october (so like 7 months?) it healed up fine but suddenly it got a tiny bump in it which was itching, i ignored it and now theres lots of them dotted about in it, they come and go and they itch so much.
ive been to the doctors twice, i was concerned because i remember getting a cut through the tattoo at work like a month ago and the stockroom i work in is FILTHY, although i thought id cleaned it properly at the time.anyway, they prescribed me hydrocortisone (which did nothing) then a stronger steroid cream (eumovate i think its called?) which seemed to be working, but they told me to stop using it after a week to avoid side effects.now its still itching and appears to be getting worse again.
i dont have time to go back to the docs for at least 2 weeks cuz of work, and they were pretty fucking unhelpful anyway.
does anyone have similar experiences? if so what will help it heal?
i wanna just keep using that cream because it was working but the side effects sound pretty grim.
is there anything else that would help treat it? |

| | | I've heard ppl getting rashes and bumps due to sunlight too. Tattoo's can cause reactions months after they were done, it can also be an allergic reaction, I've heard sometimes they tattoo over it again, but with no ink, just to "let it out"and that can help. This info is from a tattoo forum, but its all in dutch so I cant copy it.
I suggest you visit a good tattoo shop and ask them, they might be ablt to help! |

| | | thanks,im going back to the guy that did it in june so ill show it to him if its not settled down by then.ive started putting the cream on it again, it seems to be helping i think ill just use it for a week and see if it heals properly this time.i just cant understand why i would have a reaction to one of them when ive got so many others?! (some done at the same tattooist, one done in the same session!) | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
