I once had this counselor at sleep away camp that told me that if you let a mosquito bite you, finish, and leave on it’s own, that the bite won’t itch afterwards. Some theory that the stuff that makes you itch, what they inject to keep the blood from coagulating, will get sucked back out at the end. Well I decided to test this theory this evening and, after seven excruciating minutes (that **** hurts like woah), I wound up with two grape-sized welts on my forearm. If anything, the itching is nothing compared to sitting through the bite, so it’s at the least better by comparison, but look at that ****:
In retrospect, I have no idea why I thought that would work.
Is the west nile virus still prevalent? i don't keep up on these things.
I also don't understand the necessity of these creatures on god's green earth
