I don't blame men, I think they fall for it as much as women. Men have a kind of ****ed up relationship with male beauty, tbh. It's like they can pretty themselves up and workout and stuff, as long as they pretend that what they're doing is just the normal, minimum, everyday level of acceptable appearance for a person. Whereas if anyone implies that they're actually just trying to look sexy, the wave function collapses, and it all becomes totally ****ing gay. Or something.
Basically men have to pretend they don't know what an attractive man looks like so that their heteroids don't prolapse.
I kind of wish that, as a culture, we'd get over the boring generic concept of beauty and an ideal, and start experimenting with our appearance. How do we know whether a woman painted red with fake antlers would be empowering (or sexy!) until someone has the ladyballs to just **** it all and do it?
